Grand Theft Motor Vehicle
Vehicle reported stolen: A man reported June 14 at 7:30 p.m. his 2005 Chevy Trailblazer, valued at $1,000, was stolen from Seventh Street.
Woman said she was assaulted in Third Street residence: A woman reported June 15 at 7 p.m. that a known male knocked her to the ground and knocked her in the chest and a known female pulled a knife on her and punched her in the face during an argument at a Third Street residence. She did not wish to prosecute.
Possession of controlled substance
Drugs found in traffic stop: A 49-year-old man was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance June 17 at 2:23 p.m. after a narcotics K-9 alerted officers to his vehicle during a traffic stop near Route 8 and Graham Road. Four grams of methamphetamine were located, according to the report. He was taken to Summit County jail.
Items taken from vehicle: A woman reported June 14 at 10 p.m. someone entered her locked vehicle parked on Billman Place and stole gift/credit cards, $150 cash and identification information. Total value was $205.
Nearly $600 in property removed from car: A woman on June 15 at 2 a.m. reported someone removed $585 of property from her vehicle on Leavitt Avenue but the property was later recovered and returned except for one credit card.
Items removed from vehicle: A woman reported June 14 at 10 p.m. someone removed cash, wallet, credit cards and other items valued at $342 from her vehicle at Seventh Street.
Two people suspected in refrigerant theft: The owner of a business reported two known persons stole $2,100 in refrigerant from his heating and cooling company in May.
Breaking and Entering
Bike taken from garage: A man on Schubert Street reported someone entered his unattached garage at noon on June 15 and stole his FSR Bike valued at $600.
Pistol reportedly stolen from residence: A woman reported June 14 at 11 a.m. that someone entered a residence on Hillside Street and a pistol was taken.
Eatery owner says suspects used counterfeit bills: The owner of a restaurant on Howe Avenue reported June 12 at 10:30 a.m. two individuals made purchases with counterfeit $20 bills. A State Road bank sent the bills June 15 to the Secret Service.
Restaurant manager says counterfeit bills used in purchase: The manager of a Howe Avenue restaurant June 12 reported someone purchased items with two $20 counterfeit bills.
State Road manager reports counterfeit money: The manager of a State Road restaurant reported on June 13 someone attempted to use a counterfeit $10 bill to purchase food but the bill was deemed counterfeit with a marking test and kept as evidence.
