DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Husband arrested: A 30-year-old Akron man was arrested and charged with domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor, after his mother reported he and his wife were arguing in the 2400 block of 13th Street when he punched his wife in the face around 11:30 a.m. May 22. She did not report any injuries. Approximately an hour earlier police reported finding the man and his wife arguing in the parking lot of a business in the 600 block of Howe Avenue. Both denied committing or threatening any physical violence against the other at that time, the report said.

DRUG ABUSE INSTRUMENTS, PARAPHERNALIA, OPEN CONTAINER

Woman found with needles, pipe, scale: A 52-year-old New Franklin woman was arrested at 1:06 a.m. May 22 at Chestnut Boulevard and Olive Street and charged with drug abuse instruments (M-1), two counts of drug paraphernalia (M-4) and open container (MM) after police found her with two hypodermic needles, one of which contained an unknown liquid substance; a pipe for smoking crack cocaine and/or meth; a digital scale with a white residue on top; and an open can of beer. The two substances will be sent to BCI for testing. Whether the woman was on foot or in a car was not available because the report was incomplete, police said.

RAPE

Victim accuses father: An 18-year-old Cuyahoga Falls woman reported her father had sex with her before she went to school at 6:30 a.m. May 18, according to the report. She said it has happened before and it is unwanted, the report said. She went to Akron General Medical Center, the report further stated. This case is under investigation, police said.

THEFT

Alleged shoplifter caught: A 23-year-old Falls woman was arrested and charged with misdemeanor theft after a manager for a grocery store in the 2600 block of State Road reported she stuck $231 worth of items into her purse and walked out of the store without paying at 2:48 p.m. May 21.

Anime festival pass stolen: A Falls man reported someone he knows stole at least one $65 pass to a Cleveland anime convention from an employee's house in the 500 block of East Portage Trail while other passes were being manufactured between 9 and 11:59 p.m. April 21. There are leads and suspects.

Cash snatched from locker: A Falls man reported someone took $60 in cash from his wallet that was inside a locked locker in the men's locker room at the Natatorium between 2:50 and 4:50 p.m. May 17. Police are investigating.

Americana pickup: A resident of the 4100 block of Americana Drive reported someone stole his red 2000 Ford truck from the parking lot of his apartment complex some time between April 17 and 10 a.m. May 19. The man said he had left the truck unlocked with the keys in it. It was valued at $500, the report said. There are no leads or suspects.

BURGLARY

Rings, meds missing: A resident of the 3100 block of Elmwood Street reported someone entered her house without her permission between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. May 18 and stole two diamond rings and two prescription medications for a total estimated loss of $5,080. There are suspects.

PANDERING OBSCENITY, COERCION

Obscene photo sent: A Cuyahoga Falls woman reported a man she does not know threatened to expose something that would embarrass her and her family while requesting she send nude photos of herself to him. The same man sent photos of an erect penis to the woman's social media account, according to the report. This all transpired between 1 and 3 a.m. May 21.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Nature walk: Police arrested an 18-year-old Bellevue man at 9:08 p.m. May 19 and charged him with disorderly conduct after officers found him walking through people's front yards in the 800 block of Steels Corners Road while completely naked.

TRAFFICKING DRUGS, POSSESSION, ILLEGAL ASSEMBLY, PARAPHERNALIA

Hudson man arrested: A 31-year-old Hudson man was arrested and charged with drug trafficking, drug possession, illegal assembly of drugs (all felonies), drug paraphernalia (MM) and expired plates after he was stopped by police at 6:20 p.m. May 19 at Portage Trail and Amber Hills. Officers, aided by a police dog, found the man had in his car 13 individual bags of methamphetamine, a glass pipe, butane torch, and glass beakers. Police have requested seizure of $103 in cash found on the man and his 2013 Chevrolet Impala, the report said.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, DISRUPTING PUBLIC SERVICE, OBSTRUCTION

Woman struck, phone smashed: A 24-year-old Falls man was arrested and charged with disrupting public service (F-4), domestic violence (F-5) and obstructing justice (F-5) after his fiancee reported he at 11:20 a.m. May 16 slapped her in the face, choked her and punched her in the stomach where she reports being four months pregnant. Then, when she tried to call 911, the man grabbed her cell phone out of her hand, threw it on the ground and stomped it, smashing it and rendering it inoperable, according to the report. When officers arrested him he initially gave them false information as to who he was, the report said. The woman was transported to Akron General Hospital by Falls Fire.
