FELONIOUS ASSAULT

Husband charged: A Cuyahoga Falls man was charged Feb. 21 with second-degree felonious assault after his wife reported he punched her in the face with a closed fist causing her jaw bone to fracture in the parking lot of a Bailey Road grocery store on Oct. 30, 2016, at 7 p.m. Police said this has been an ongoing investigation that was referred to the city's law department.

THEFT

Cash, cards taken: An Akron woman reported $46 worth of items including cash, credit cards and health insurance cards were taken from her purse inside her locked car after it was parked by a valet in the 1800 block of Akron Peninsula Road between 4:55 and 8:45 p.m. Feb. 19. There are two suspects.

Car window broken, phone missing: A resident of the 1600 block of Bancroft Street reported someone threw a rock through the driver's side door window of his vehicle while it was parked on the street in front of his house between 3:30 and 3:40 a.m. Feb. 17. A cell phone was missing. Total estimated loss was $350. There are no leads or suspects.

Tools taken from truck: A foreman for a company in the 3400 block of State Road reported someone stole $3,597 worth of tools from a company truck between 7 p.m. Feb. 14 and 5 a.m. Feb. 15. There was no damage to the truck, which was locked at the time. There are currently no leads or suspects.

BURGLARY

Electronics stolen: A resident of the 400 block of Morrison Avenue reported someone entered his residence between 8 p.m. Feb. 9 and 12:30 p.m. Feb. 20 and stole a video game system and a video game valued at $220 from his bedroom. There were no signs of forced entry. There are no leads.

Gadgets removed from home: A resident of the 2300 block of Richmond Road reported someone entered his home through the back door (without force) between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Feb. 14 and took various items including a video game system, games and a laptop computer for a total loss of $2,000. Police are following leads.

MENACING

Parking lot scrape reported: An Akron woman reported someone threatened her with an ice scraper in the parking lot of a restaurant in the 1700 block of State Road at 8:01 p.m. Feb. 10. The suspect also hit the woman's vehicle but did not damage it. There are possible leads.

OVERDOSE, DRUG ABUSE INSTRUMENTS, PARAPHERNALIA

Two ODs reported: Two known people were found unresponsive after overdosing in a vehicle in the parking lot of a Bailey Road grocery store at 12:15 p.m. Feb. 16. Police would not provide any more information due to an ongoing investigation.

CRIMINAL DAMAGING

Juvenile graffiti: An employee of an industrial plant in the 2500 block of Bailey Road reported a juvenile male walked through the parking lot and spray-painted two cars and a side of the building at 3:25 p.m. Feb. 14. Damage was estimated at $300. There is a lead.

ENDANGERING CHILDREN, DRUG ABUSE INSTRUMENTS

Man with child arrested: A 29-year-old Falls man was arrested and charged with endangering children, possessing drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia after police found him with a hypodermic needle and spoon that was allegedly used to inject a drug of abuse at 1 p.m. Feb. 14 in the parking lot of a gas station in the 2800 block of State Road. With the man was his 3-year-old son who, according to police, he was unable to care for. Police contacted Children Services.
