AGGRAVATED ROBBERY

Suspect had knife: A resident of the 1100 block of Cliffside Drive reported a man held a kitchen knife to her throat and stole $272 in cash from her wallet at 3:46 p.m. Feb. 5. The victim knows the suspect, the report said, and he had been visiting her in her apartment when the crime occurred. The woman did not report any injuries. She intends to prosecute. Police said no charges have been filed as of Feb. 8 and the case is under investigation.

THEFT

Package pilfered: A resident of the 3800 block of Northampton Road reported a package containing a $181 electronic tablet that was delivered to his home was stolen from his porch between 12:11 and 9:30 p.m. Jan. 23. There are no leads or suspects.

Tobacco fix foiled: A 40-year-old Akron man was arrested and charged with theft after he allegedly left a Howe Avenue grocery store without paying for two cartons of cigarettes and two cigars at 11 p.m. Feb. 1. The items were valued at about $150.

Saints preserve us: An Akron woman reported someone stole her St. Francis of Assisi statue from the backyard of her residence in the 2400 block of 19th Street between Jan. 25 and 28. The statue was valued at $200. There are no leads or suspects.

POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Pumped up charges: A 37-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance after two vials of testosterone cypionate (steroids) were found in his possession after a traffic stop for expired plates at Broad Boulevard and 13th Street at 12:24 a.m. Feb. 4.

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA

Traffic stop yields charges: A 31-year-old Akron woman and a 33-year-old Mayfield Heights man were arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on state Route 8 southbound at Howe Avenue at 5:44 a.m. Feb. 3. Police found they had rolled currency with residue, a mirror with residue, tie-offs, filters and razor blades. A bag with an unknown substance was found and sent to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation for testing.

BREAKING AND ENTERING

Garage entered: A resident of the 1300 block of Kennedy Boulevard reported someone entered his unlocked detached garage and took $6,417 worth of miscellaneous items between 12:01 a.m. Jan. 13 and 9:30 p.m. Jan. 20. Police said there is a suspect and they are investigating.

MENACING BY STALKING

False claim, unwanted flowers reported: A Falls woman reported someone on one occasion called her boss and falsely claimed she was behaving inappropriately and on another occasion sent flowers to her home in what she believes was an attempt to disrupt her relationship. The victim said these two incidents, which took place between Nov. 4 and Jan. 2, have caused her distress and she will prosecute. There are suspects.

TRAFFIC CRASH

Compact flips SUV: A 52-year-old Akron man was transported to Akron City Hospital with possible injuries after the sport utility vehicle he was driving was struck by a car driven by a 23-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man on Feb. 5. The younger man was not injured. According to the police report, the Akron man was traveling westbound on Francis Avenue around 10:55 a.m. when the Falls man, traveling southbound on Ninth Street in a compact car, failed to to obey a stop sign and struck the SUV, causing it to roll over. Both vehicles had disabling damage. The Falls man was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.
