Cuyahoga Falls Police Reports (Sept. 18, 2016)

Kitchen conflict: The director of food service at a nursing home on West Bath Road reported an identified man punched him in the face inside the facility's kitchen at 8:15 p.m. Sept. 11. The victim had a swollen cheek, according to the report. He declined medical attention. No one was charged, police said.


Threat follows dispute: An employee of a warehouse club in the 1100 block of Buchholzer Boulevard reported someone she could identify threatened her by saying, "Death to you," after a dispute at the service desk where she was working at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 11. The victim declined to prosecute.

Morning mayhem: A 40-year-old Akron woman was arrested and charged with felonious assault after a Cuyahoga Falls man reported she entered his mother's apartment on Americana Drive through an unlocked window and allegedly assaulted a woman from Canton who was visiting at 7:42 a.m. Sept. 11. The Falls man then, according to the report, kicked the Akron woman's Cadillac in the left rear fender. The Akron woman allegedly then attempted to run him over with her car. The Falls man, 32, was charged with criminal damaging. No injuries or damage was reported.


Admit one to jail: A 28-year-old Akron man was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony, and misuse of a credit card, a first-degree misdemeanor, after he attempted to use a stolen credit card to purchase a $10 movie ticket at a theater in the 2900 block State Road at 7:57 p.m. Sept. 10.

Fence damage reported: Police responded Sept. 8 to two reports of criminal damaging in the 2600 block of 13th Street where two residents reported someone damaged the chain-link fence between their properties by grinding numerous support ties at the top of the fence at approximately 5 p.m. Sept. 4. Damage was estimated at $300. There are no leads or suspects.


Money taken from home: A 28-year Cuyahoga Falls man was arrested and charged with burglary, a felony, after a resident of the 400 block of Lynn Drive reported he allegedly entered her home without permission through an unlocked back door at 4:40 p.m. Sept. 9 and stole $30 in cash and change. He was booked in Summit County Jail and scheduled for a video arraignment.


Boyfriend charged: Domestic violence charges were filed against a 50-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man after his live-in girlfriend and mother of his child reported he slammed a door on her arm multiple times in their residence at 10 p.m. Sept. 7 causing abrasions and contusions. No medical treatment was reported.

Another boyfriend charged: Domestic violence charges were filed against a 27-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man after his live-in girlfriend reported he grabbed her by the throat, pushed her backwards into a wall and threw her to the floor in their home at 12:15 a.m. Sept. 8. The boyfriend then ran upstairs and told her to join him. When she did, he grabbed her by the throat again and pushed her onto the floor where he straddled her and asked her if she was scared. Police said the woman had marks on her neck but whether she sought medical treatment was not known.


Smoking pipe found: A 33-year-old Garfield Heights woman was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor, after she was found with a suspected meth pipe during a traffic stop for a moving violation at state Route 8 and Howe Avenue shortly before 11 p.m. Sept. 6.


Boy's Kyrie Irving shoes taken: A Cuyahoga Falls woman reported someone took her 11-year-old son's $130 Nike Kyrie Irving shoes from the floor of the gymnasium at the Natatorium, 2345 Fourth St., around 5:30 p.m. Sept. 5 while he was playing basketball. There are no suspects.
